I haven't done a lot in the big scheme of things but even still, I get an occasional PM from someone who tells me something I said or wrote that is archived on the Internet helped them. Yeah, one person can make a difference, and often does.
That said, is it ever REALLY just one person? Links to the stuff I did are hosted on someone else's ex-JW site. The letter you obtained, apocalypse, was printed in someone else's book. Those are just two examples of individuals making a difference but with cooperation and assistance from others.
It takes individuals AND it takes cooperation.
Work to help others and keep paying it forward, everyone.

talesin, are you and I FB friends? I think we might be but I'm not sure, cuz it's hard to keep track of who's who. :)
i've heard both.
i dunno.
which one is it?.
I'm going to take donations for my daughter to do an education abroad trip. Teaching a young person about other people and cultures and instilling respect and love for all is probably the most worthy cause around. EVERYBODY profits. We hope to set up a kickstarter account :)
hi, my time is drawing ever closer as i can no longer speak lies about the organization and all the past revisions and my sins i committed against everyone i judged while serving on judicial committees.
i lay awake at night with guilt because i ask jehovah and his son jesus christ to forgive me for being so judgemental, self assured and arrogant at certain times in my life.
i was not a prince of peace, at times i was a coward when i was first appointed because i wanted to keep all things peaceful with my peers, not with my heavenly father and saviour jesus christ.
leaving-quietly is right. They have no more authority with this new doctrine. And they're too stupid to even realize it. lol

I always think of this when I hear someone referred to as "remarkable."
i'm thinking that if all the governing body members all died at once, it would disprove this whole "the governing body are the faithful and discreet slave" business once and for all.. the faithful and discreet slave, according to watchtower teaching, will continue to exist into the time of the end.
so if the governing body all die at once, that means they ain't the faithful and discreet slave.. they need more youngish gb members quick!.
If they all died at once, they would invent a "rapture" doctrine instantly to explain it.
uncensored discussions and information for anyone interested in the advocates for awareness of watchtower abuses or 'aawa' http://aawa.co/ (previously known as "the association of anti-watchtower activists http://jwactivists.org/) and how it's handled and responded to privacy issues and put people at risk:.
aawa is here!!
(the association of anti-watchtower activists)an invitation to a new effort- aawawhy when i logged onto aawa did it go to facebook ?in regards to aawaaawa - every generation needs a new revolution - thomas jeffersonnotice how the introduction of the aawa has brought out the loonies lately?will aawa become another cult?
I think friends add friends to groups and admins invite people to groups. It's just two types of nomenclature for the same result, I believe.

Rather than seeing the pissing match continue, I'd like to see a serious answer to bohm's question.
It's only a FB group, for crying out loud. It's not like anyone wants to see the volunteer list shredded.
here's the thing,.
the whole aawa idea had noble ideas behind it, but the ship has sailed and the movement needs to go back to the drawing board.
period.
Thing is, *lost*, is that this isn't an argument anymore because AAWA is no longer engaging JWN in debate. Why can't the haters let it drop, too?
